Exceptional opportunity for a Criminal Duty Solicitor to join a local law firm based in Cumbria. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years’ PQE and will be able to demonstrate detailed knowledge and expertise of dealing with a criminal law caseload. However, we are also willing to consider a NQ Solicitor who has a passion for criminal law and would like to progress their career within this area.

 

Responsibilities:

​

• You will deal with a caseload of criminal law matters

• You will be able to work with minimal supervision

• You will represent clients at Court and at the Police Station

• You will travel to a variety of locations to attend both Court and the Police Station

 

Requirements:

 

• You will be a qualified Solicitor with specific experience gained in Criminal Law. You will ideally be a minimum of 1 years’ PQE, however, our client will consider a NQ Solicitor

• Ideally, you will have Higher Rights of Audience

• You will be willing to work flexibly and outside of normal office hours

• You will have a police station representative qualification

• You will have a driving licence and access to a car
