Meet The Team

Sean read law at the University of Sheffield before completing his Legal Practice Course at Manchester Metropolitan University.  He trained as a solicitor in his hometown of Bolton where he qualified in 2012.  As a relatively newly qualified solicitor, he relocated to Cumbria in 2013.

Since 2013, Sean has practised criminal law across the county of Cumbria, from Barrow to Carlisle, joining Paisleys in August 2020.  In this time he has gained vast experience dealing with a wide range of criminal cases from relatively minor offences in the Magistrates Court to representing Defendants charged with the most serious offences in the Crown Court.  In 2019, Sean gained Higher Rights which allows him to conduct advocacy in the higher courts.  Sean regularly appears in the Crown Court and has also represented clients on Appeals before the Court of Appeal in London.

Outside of work Sean enjoys walking in the Lake District with his partner, Katy and dog, Freddie.  He is also a supporter of Bolton Wanderers and gets to as many matches as he can.
